Elevate Program

Elevate is a 12-week training program implemented by Women in Technology Uganda. The program focuses on young women from low-income communities in Kampala and Mbarara. Training runs in structured cohorts each year and combines digital skills, entrepreneurship, and life skills to strengthen income pathways and long-term economic stability.

Since 2012, Elevate has reached over 100,000 young women across 33 cohorts. The program prioritizes practical skills, confidence building, and access to networks that support dignified work and business growth.

  • Program Models:

Elevate On-Campus: A 12-week, campus-based program delivered in multiple cohorts annually for young women from Kampala and Mbarara.

Elevate Community Champion Model:A community-based version of Elevate designed for participants facing transport and time constraints. Training is delivered closer to where participants live and work.

Elevate Business Recovery Program: A 6-week business training program supporting women entrepreneurs in Kampala and Mbarara whose businesses were affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. The program focuses on reopening, improving, and strengthening businesses after economic disruption.

Why Elevate Matters: Elevate strengthens skills, income opportunities, and confidence among young women facing economic barriers. The program links training to real-world application, mentorship, and flexible delivery models that respond to the realities of low-income communities.
